Your Hidden Season Is Ending: God's Promise to You Today

What if the delay you've resented was actually God repositioning you for something greater?

"And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

Romans 8:28

You remember the promise. Maybe it was a dream, a word, or a quiet certainty that settled in your chest years ago. But lately, you've been living in a different story entirely — one where nothing seems to move forward, where doors stay closed, and where you've started to wonder if you imagined the whole thing.

I want to sit with you in that tension today, because I think you're closer to the turning point than you realize.

The story of Joseph has always fascinated me. He received a promise from God when he was seventeen. By thirty, he was running a nation. But between those two numbers? Betrayal, slavery, false accusation, imprisonment, and years of what looked like total abandonment. No one would have blamed him for concluding that God's promise had quietly expired.

What Joseph didn't know — what you might not see right now — is that the pit was positioning him. Every impossible season was shaping the man who would eventually save not only his family, but nations.

Romans 8:28 doesn't promise that difficulty disappears. It promises that difficulty has purpose when we remain tethered to God's voice. Your season of waiting, of seeming invisibility, of being strong for everyone else while quietly unraveling — God sees it. And more importantly, He is doing something in it.

There's an illustration I share in today's video — a small but honest story about someone who felt completely stuck — that I couldn't fully unpack here. If this resonates with where you are right now, I'd love for you to sit with the message for a few minutes. Sometimes we need to hear something spoken aloud for it to finally land in our hearts.

You were never forgotten. You are not forgotten now.

A prayer

Father, I confess that waiting has worn me down. There have been days I questioned whether You were still moving on my behalf. Today, I choose to believe Your timing is not Your delay — it is Your preparation. Teach me to trust what I cannot see, and give me strength for this season I'm in. I release my grip on the how and the when, and I rest in Your goodness. In Jesus' name, Amen.
