When God's Silence Doesn't Mean His Absence
What to hold onto when you're waiting and God's plan feels invisible.
""My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.""
— 2 Corinthians 12:9
There are seasons when you feel like you're holding your breath, waiting for something — anything — to shift. You pray. You trust. But the silence on the other end of faith can feel louder than any answer.
In those moments, it's easy to convince yourself that silence means God has forgotten you, or worse, that His plan has unraveled. But consider this: what if the silence isn't rejection? What if it's a place where He's quietly refining something in you that He couldn't refine any other way?
The apostle Paul knew this tension. He spoke of a “thorn in the flesh” — some persistent, painful burden he begged God to remove. Three times he asked. And three times, God didn't deliver the removal. He delivered something greater: “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:9)
That's not a dismissive answer. That's a recalibration of what you actually need.
God's plan is rarely the shortcut you hoped for. It's often a slower, deeper road that strips away the noise and brings you somewhere quieter, somewhere more rooted. The waiting isn't wasted. It's where your theology gets tested and your trust gets legs.
There's a moment in the video I want to walk you through — one where the difference between God's timing and your timeline becomes less of a frustration and more of a doorway. If you've been holding onto a promise that hasn't materialized yet, you're not outside of God's plan. You may be right in the center of it. Watch the full message to find what God is saying in your season of silence.
May you find rest in the waiting today.
A prayer
Father, I confess that waiting feels unbearable sometimes. I want answers. I want clarity. But I trust that You are working even in what I cannot see. Teach me to rest in Your timing, not my own. When the silence is loud, remind me that You have not forgotten me. Strengthen my faith to hold onto Your plan even when it looks different than I expected. In Jesus' name, Amen.
